Welcome to the new norm, Zoom. Whether you want to talk to family, friends or even co-workers; Zoom is the new form of communicating. Just as we had to adjust when the phone booths disappeared, the house phone was replaced by the cell phone, the answering machine has been replaced by Alexa and now gathering for meetings or family celebrations or any form of communicating in groups, has been replaced by Zoom.
Although it may be a little intimidating at first; talking to family, friends, and colleagues on Zoom is going to be here for the foreseeable future. Although we have the Covid-19 vaccine and the relief it will bring, we don't know how long we will be using this new form of communication. It is important not to get left out of the loop. Many communities are creating new ways of reaching their constituents; Strawberry Mansion is no different. I suggest that you download the Zoom app on your phone, tablet or computer and then get a email address. Once you get the email address provide the Strawberry Mansion Community Development Corporation with the email so you won't be left in the dark on issues that affect you in your community.
